A thrilling and funny solo adventure sees you and a trio of squabbling mercenary companions racing against the clock to find a fabled magical Goblet to protect a village from a fearsome skeleton horde.

Create your character by rolling your Strength, Dexterity, Charisma and Wisdom scores, and choosing your species, style and clothes.

Then set off into the swamp where you must negotiate magical traps, monsters, plague and the occasional wandering minstrel.

Gather money, weapons and artefacts on your journey and be sure to pay, feed and water your companions. Their cooperation may run dry if you neglect them. And after all, you'll be needing them in the many fights you're sure to have.

However this is a game of wits as well as brawn, and every choice you make has a consequence, even though that consequence may not be immediately apparent.

This is not a game for fools, knaves or cowards, and only the smartest, bravest and perhaps luckiest will triumph!

No two plays are ever the same!

Yo, Mr. Hunnysett: It makes me laugh every time I create my character and it says, "No judgement." ðŸ˜‚ Thanks, I didn't feel judged until you said that! 😂 The light-heartedness and subtle humor in this game is a big draw for me.  I keep dying, yet I enjoy myself immensely.

Thank you so much for playing - and I'm so glad you enjoy it!
P.S. I'm not judging, I'm really not!

Really unique and fun writing. Game did bug out for me after fleeing from some brigands. Everyone but Ashto escaped successfully, but then I couldn't move on to the next event.

Thanks so much for playing, for the kind words and the feedback. Will have a look at the game and update later today,  hopefully I'll get the issues sorted out.

Thanks so much for playing and for your comments. As the swamp lies within a magical cataclysm belt, navigation is extremely capricious and a map would be of little use. I'm exploring the possibility of including weapon pictures in future adventures. There are pictures of weapons in the paperback gamebook version of Games of Runes, available from Amazon. Thank you again.

Intriguing and impressive on the RPG Stats.  A small suggestion, story-wise it would be nice to know who my companions are.

Thank you for your kind comments. Please could you expand on your comment re: companions. Do you mean you wish have more info on them, ie their background, where they come from, age, etc? If so, what information specifically would you wish to see?

I hope this helps: It seems you have put a great deal of thought into the character side when creating all the stats, but then suddenly, as a player, these three companions appear, and all that happens is their stats are rolled. In the backstory bit, you mention the player has hired them in a tavern, but as a player, I would like to know more.

What made me choose Mossy? Was Robyn the only mercenary at the bar? Do they have any traits I need to be aware of? Why should I listen to them, etc.

This is really useful feedback! I'll try an incorporate all this into the next version and into future games. Thank you so much for playing, I hope you enjoyed playing Game of Runes enough to share with all your friends. Thank you again!

Rough around the edges but I see the passion and effort put into this. Nice.

Thank you! All feedback is gratefully received!
